About Dr. Fakhra Ahmad
Dr. Fakhra Ahmad is an Illinois native through and through; she grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, where she graduated Valedictorian from Elgin High School. Afterward, she attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she majored in Molecular and Cellular Biology as well as Anthropology and graduated with high honors. Thereafter she attended the prestigious University of Illinois at Chicago for Dental School.
Although Dr. Ahmad has finished all her schooling, she is never done learning. One of her favorite pastimes is attending continuing education classes and conferences on various topics in dentistry. Some of her favorite topics? Dental cosmetics and implants; she is a current candidate for an Associate Fellowship with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID).
On a personal note, Dr. Ahmad lives in the north side of Chicago with her husband. Her hobbies are traveling, exploring different cuisines, and spending time with family & friends. She also loves getting to know her patients personally, and is really excited to meet all the patients of Edgewater Dental Group!
